This is my story…
Right after graduation I migrated here in USA bringing with me the knowledge I have acquired in the Philippines. A little polishing through self-review, I took NCLEX with all the confidence that I will make it. I failed…
I enrolled in a famous review class hoping that this will help me reach my goal... Again I failed…
A challenge I took, I drowned myself with pre-test books concentrating on. STRIKE THREE!!!
Seven days, seven nights, I imprisoned myself in a hotel with other Reviewers.. Paid more than a thousand, sacrificing my communications and enjoyment of life. STRIKE FOUR!!!
I have lost my hope, blaming my fate and my existence, I started questioning GOD for all these failures…
Then came along a friend lifted my spirit even with doubt in my mind, I made a call, a call that changes my life…
Mary de Leon, “the coordinator of America Healthways Education” worked with my schedule with one purpose, to achieve my goal! Not even a bit of hesitation, I can tell her freely my needs… So hospitable, so accommodating and a service with a smile.
Then I met Don de Leon. After my pre-test with him, I remember vividly these words “You have the knowledge, clinical and basic but we just need to put it together, consolidate it to strengthen your weak points”, it lifted my hope. Through time, I was in the class, I became more enthusiastic, my confidence started to build up again. With the technique of his teachings, how every one person can learn, Sir Don will use it all to ensure that every lesson I passed will stay, right in my gray matter. That every System we discuss will be interconnected. The use of animation, incorporation of daily activities, foods, vices, mannerism…etc.. The use of simple words easy to remember, demonstrations, audio-visual and pretests… Lastly the individual tutoring to boost your mind, your self-esteem, that he made me believe that I can do it!
Bottom line… Integration of all the knowledge I have acquired..

I still couldnt believe it when i got my test result and it says "PASSED" I took NCLEX-PN on Oct 12 2009 and got my result on the 31st.
Believe it or not, i took my test several times, enrolled in review classes like LifeSavers, and Dr. Frye's class. But things were unfortunate for me. I was feeling discouraged already so i went to a website called allnurses.com to read blogs from people to help me motivated and then someone posted and recommended to take the review class at America Healthways. When I called America Healthways it was almost 9pm and I was so grateful that I was able to speak to Mr. de Leon at that time and told him how much I wanted to pass. He took the time to explain me how his review works.
I started the review in June '09 for 7 days then decided to continue through Unlimited Program. My favorite part of the review is the Tutorial. He gives us Practice Test Questions. I didnt do good on those. His questions are similar to the actual test but i felt like his questions are harder than the actual ones which made me easier to ace the nclex test. He takes time to update all the questions so we always get a new set. And with the Tutorial Session, he asked us questions verbally and helps us analyze each questions.
That's how I learned to answer questions. He taught us how to remember terms quickly in his own words e.g. normal urine specific gravity.. just remember 1010 1020 sounds like you're dialing a number and then just put a dot next to 1. he made us learn things in a fun way. This review class is so worth it it's like an investment for yourself. You'll never find any review class like this. This class is fun because u get to share the same feelings with other students too. With Mr. Don and Ms. Mary and the students.. there is a great support system here.... I recommend this to all students especially if you're working full time like me.

After numerous attempts to pass NCLEX in the last 10 years, I took America Healthways Education review course and made me pass once through the help of Don De Leon. The review is very effective and easy to understand. The review program has its own in house strong review materials. It is incomparable, motivation is so great and learning is truly unlimited. America Healthways is the best NCLEX RN review class. Mr. Don De Leon helped me pass with only 75 questions. He is very knowledgeable about nursing contents of NCLEX. I know I passed because of Mr. Don De Leon. There are many NCLEX review centers but this is by far the best one. He teaches nursing content and test taking strategies.

I am a new graduate and foreign educated nurse. I found it hard to answer the NCLEX-RN practice exam questions. But with the help of God and America Healthways Education Center (AHEC), I was able to pass my NCLEX-RN examination on my first try with only 75 questions. AHEC helped me gain my confidence by building my test taking skills and strategies. Everything in our review book was actually in the NCLEX-RN Exam. Thank you so much to America Healthways Education, especially to Sir Don for helping my dreams comes true. I still cannot believe that I am a Registered Nurse now. My entire journey in this review center made me appreciate the nursing profession more and even inspired me to become a better person for other people.
Reviewing here is like a home, wherein you are all a part of a family that really helping each other in attaining a common goal and at the same time building each other’s confidence through challenging learning experiences. Sir Don would be the father or the facilitator of the discussion but the perseverance is up to us. He will let us know our strengths and weaknesses and use it as a path to our success in making the NCLEX.
He is very devoted in monitoring our performance. He is even sharing some of his experiences at work and in life to inspire us to be the best nurse we can ever be. He’s teaching us not only in terms of nursing principles but also in understanding the true meaning of nursing. He stimulates our minds by asking tough questions from which we can be able to apply our critical nursing skills and by learning from our own mistakes.
I must say that the study materials are very strong and majority of the content are all NCLEX items. The flow of discussion is very competitive because comparing and grouping of certain items are part of it. Through him you will learn a lot of learning strategies on how you will be able to understand things better and how to put them all together.

You are indeed Godsend to all our kababayans and other races here in America. Nursing for me was really a hill climb, the extreme other end of what I did before. I’m a technical person as you know, but you being my guide made nursing understandable and easier to absorb. Me and my family will always be thankful for your unselfish help you had shared with me. Thank God for America Healthways, with your help I passed the NCLEX RN examination. This is the right review center for those nurses who are ready to pass the NCLEX. America Healthways has all the tools and resources that you can not find in other review centers. This where your Nursing knowledge gets a boost and be able to select the right answer in the NCLEX exam with confidence. America Healthways is a place for everyone who pursues a good Review for NCLEX exam. The environment is great; small class room well equipped with different material like audio, pictures to promote optimal level of learning for every individuals. Instructor Don is nice and very helpful. Either inside or outside the classroom, he always seems to be there for you to help, to guide, to support you like his special successor.
